On Sept 6th this app did what it was designed to do, it saved someones life. Here is the email we received :
"I want to thank you for making an app that saved my life just 2 days after purchasing it! I have several medical conditions. One being a newly transplanted Spinal Cord Stimulator.(SCS) In a nutshell....one of my health issues is I have several herniated discs in my lower back. I've tried so many procedures and surgeries that I've lost count. The last surgery was to place the SCS, Its a device similar to a pacemaker that has leads that are placed in my spinal column and the device itself is implanted in my rear, left upper hip (a place where Emergency Medical Personnel would probably not look). I cannot have MRI's or CAT Scans as the magnetic force could literally pull the device out of my skin or at least completely dislodge the whole system. I've been instructed to get a Medic Alert bracelet. Due to finances and cost of a bracelet, its going to be a bit before I can get one with enough room for the info I need to put on it.. I apologize for all the details, I just wanted to make sure you had all the info and the severity of the situation. I was involved in a minor car accident 2 days after purchasing your app. My head hit the passenger window and knocked me unconscious. The EMP on the scene noticed my remote that runs the SCS. They had no idea what it was for so they looked in my phone for an I.C.E. Contact. Instead they found the red cross icon of your app! Not only were they able to contact my husband, but also found the SCS information as well as the other medical info and instead of sending me for a MRI immediately to check for internal injuries and the cause of my unconsciousness, they performed different tests that did not interfere with my SCS!! They said it was the best application they have ever seen and literally saved my life!!
