Mark Wahlberg has never looked better, nor been in a better mood. Yes, he lost out to, who was it? Oh, yeah, Alan Arkin, for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar last month, but the movie for which he was nominated, "The Departed," won the Best Picture Oscar and the Best Director Oscar for Martin Scorsese. Wahlberg's latest, "Shooter," in theaters Friday, is something in between "The Departed" and "Four Brothers." WAM publisher Tim Nasson has sat with Wahlberg over a dozen times during the past decade and a half, beginning fifteen years ago when Wahlberg was a pant-dropping, crotch-grabbing "Marky Mark." Although Paramount Pictures, and their nasty new publicity department tried to keep WAM from an interview with Wahlberg for "Shooter," they couldn't. Whether you decide to see "Shooter," even though WAM and you, all of our 100,000+ readers, were discriminated against by Paramount, the film's distibutor, remains to be seen.
